NATIONAL INNOVATION DIPLOMA (NID)
The National Innovation Diploma (NID) programme is equivalent to the National Diploma (ND) in other tertiary institutions. NID is an approved programme of the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE). Upon completion of the programme, successful candidates can either apply for a Direct Entry into any Nigerian University for further studies in their chosen field/discipline or start a lucrative career in the industry.
Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for admission into the following two 2-year FULL-TIME programmes of study for the 2020/2021 Academic Session.
- Building Construction Technology
- Electrical & Electronics Technology
- Welding & Fabrication Technology
- Multimedia Technology
- Computer Software Engineering
- Computer Hardware Engineering
- Networking & System Security
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS FOR ADMISSION
Applications are invited from candidates who meet the following criteria:
- Scored 100 & above in 2020 UTME and made IVTEC their 1st Choice
- Candidates who did not choose IVTEC but are willing to have a change of institution to IVTEC as 1st Choice.
- Candidates who did not sit for UTME for admission into full-time programmes leading to the award of National Innovation Diploma (NID), but are willing to put in for part-time NID programme should approach JAMB CBT Centre and register for part-time.
- A minimum of five (5) Credit Passes at WAEC/SSCE, NECO, GCE and NABTEB in not more than two (2) sittings, which must include English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and any other Science subject.
- National Vocational Certificate (NVC Final) from a recognized Vocational Enterprise Institution (VEI).
PROGRAMME DURATION/REQUIREMENTS
- Four Semesters (2-year) of course work
- Three Months of Student Industrial Work Experience Schemes (SIWES)
SCREENING FEE: Two Thousand Naira (N2, 000.00) only, payable online with a Debit Card (ATM).
